2012 "Bien Fait" Merlot, Columbia Valley
Bien Fait is French for "well made, strongly or skillfully constructed". This single vineyard Merlot was built for ageing, and will benefit by 1 year in your cellar (if you can wait that long). The fruit was harvested on November 4, 2012 from the vineyards of Roger Gamache, Washington "Grower of the Year". After careful vinification using traditional methods, the wine was aged for 20 months in 100% new oak (50% French, 50% Russian). After 11 months in bottle, it is still young and tight, with fine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity that will make it a favorite food pairing wine. Tasting notes will follow after receiving reviews from various wine critics. 98 cases produced. $30 per 750 ml
2014 "Blondie" Rosé of Sangiovese, Red Mountain
Blondie is our take on a dry rosé, but with a Washington twist. Harvested from Ciel du Cheval Vineyard at the top of Red Mountain, this Sangiovese produces a crisp, refreshing wine with concentrated flavors of strawberry, raspberry and cranberry. It is a perfect wine to serve chilled on a warm summer evening with friends, and it pairs well with salami, Serrano ham, other cured meats, and appetizers like melon and prosciutto, hummus, and baba ganoush. ONLY 16 CASES PRODUCED! $20 per 750 ml.
